Emma Close (she/her)
I have spent most of my life fascinated (obsessed) by movement and how much of who we are goes into creating it.
Even the simplest movement is driven by so many unconscious factors. One of the huge ones being our perception of our capacity to complete it. From triple somersaults to simply walking gracefully our perception of self colors the way we move. Which in turn colors our experience of life and living. Our connection or rejection of the world around us.
For years I worked as an elite athlete, training, performing, and studying the body from the inside out. Looking for answers in psychology, anatomy, physics, anything that felt relevant.
Kinesiology has helped begin pulling these threads together, releasing limitations on perception of how I move through the world.
This is what fascinates me, and what I would like to share. The process of understanding where we develop tension in our minds, emotions, bodies etc. and the process through which we all release this together, so we can move, breathe, and live freely and fully.
